Major Problems:
An apartment, built before 1974 in a block of flats by the sea, needed a complete overhaul and refinishing. The main problems included old defective plumbing; dangerous electrical installation; rotting walls caused by leaking pipes, and severely damaged interior finishing. Because the flat was located on the ground floor next to the elevator and the concierge room, it was nearly impossible for tenants to enjoy silence and privacy during their vacation time.
Remedy:
- plumbing system and electrical changed;
- entrance moved to the outside wall (from the street), and an old doorway closed;
- floor and bathroom tiles changed;
- walls and ceiling plastered and painted;
- new windows, doors, and a/c units installed;
- new kitchen unit and bathroom units fitted.
