Project Description:
This beautiful 185 m2 villa was built by our company in 2008-2009 in the village of Malatya, North Cyprus. This project started out with three bedrooms, but since the owners didn't need this much sleeping space, they were ready to transform the ground floor bedroom into a luxurious combination of a dining room and a work area. This change resulted in a perfect gathering place with plenty of sunlight and stunning views of both the sea and the mountains. The two upstairs bedrooms were built with convenient exits to an open-air balcony for weekend lounging.
The homeowners now enjoy an 8x4m outdoor swimming pool that is enclosed behind attractive natural stone walls to accentuate the villa’s exterior. The stone walls provide added structural support from damaging inclement weather. An annex was included in the work to accommodate the homeowner’s desire for added storage. The villa would not be complete without a sizeable garage addition and a beautifully paved entryway.
Project Challenges:
- This amazing villa was originally built on a steep mountainous terrain, which presented some interesting challenges at times during the construction phase.
- The high wooden ceilings required some special equipment and unique skills by seasoned workers.
- The villa was adorned with interior and exterior arches featuring traditional Cypriot yellow stones requiring intricate detail and expert craftsmanship by our tilers.
- The travertine floors were polished to perfection and prepared to withstand any moisture in the air.
